Project Management

Designed for large and small construction trades municipalities and businesses to help Project foreman, supervisors, etc. manage a project and understand worker productivity.  You will gain knowledge of:

This is a 1-1/2-day Workshop with most of second day dedicated to developing a Gantt Chart.

Note that supervisors and foreman know their crews and the individual personalities involved – this Workshop is only intended to give these individuals tools to make better decisions.

Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) Overview

This Workshop is designed for the Commercial Real Estate industry to help familiarize with the Phase I ESA process and what to expect.  Experienced Professionals in ASTM and DOT Phase I explain what is needed, where the information is obtained, and what it typically means.  Includes information on:

 * Standards and Codes
 * Site Visits and Interviews
 * Regulatory Databases (UST, RCRA, etc.)
 * Sanborn Maps
 * Topographic Maps
 * Historic Aerial Photos
 * Historic Records (Tax, City, Health, etc.)
 * Reports and Recommendations (General)

This is typically a 2-day Workshop with most of the second day being a hands-on example process.  Because Phase 2, 3, 4… investigations are site specific, discussions of these will be general only. 

Estimating a Project

Designed for large and small construction businesses to assist those new to the field of Estimating. Including:

 * Scope
 * What to Measure
 * How to Measure
 * Effort / Cost / Resource Estimating
 * Top-Down -or- Bottom-Up

Overview

Learn what is involved in a Home Inspection from experienced inspectors.  Designed for those involved in the Real Estate transaction industry.  An overview of the elements of a Home Inspection include:

An 8-part Series for the experienced Home Inspector.  Designed for meeting bi-annual PDH credits in State of Wisconsin (please check requirements for applying PDHs in other states.)

The Dirt on Soils

Designed for large and small construction businesses to assist those new to the field of Construction and dirt moving.  Learn about soil properties and how they work.  Including:
